Cheap CD Cases
Compact Discs or better known as CD’s have become one of the most popular mediums of data storage. Traditionally, use of floppy drives to store information was common. However, it had few drawbacks that prompted the birth of a compact disk. Floppy drive was capable of storing information up to 1.44 mega bytes. This storage space was often less than what was needed. Compact disc is capable of storing information up to 700 mega bytes. This facilitates large amounts of information to be conveniently stored on it.
Compact discs are made from two plastic discs in which a magnetic film is sandwiched. This process is carried on with the help of heat that combines two plastic discs. In order to ensure long life of a CD, it must be protected from heat, dust and direct sunlight. Since manufacturing process of CD is carried on with the help of heat, it is advisable that CD’s should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long hours. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures may damage the magnetic film and result in loss of valuable information. Dust is another factor that may damage compact discs. It not only affects the working of the disc but also damages the lens of CD players. Dust accumulated on CD gets transferred to the laser lens and reduces the efficiency of its working.
CD cases help protect the disc from these elements and assure longevity of the disc. CD cases are available in many colors, designs and patters. CD cases were considers as an expensive buy. It has been possible to cut down cost of production with newer technological processes used for manufacturing them. They are now available in bulk quantities at cheap rates. Manufacturing units have begun to source out large quantities of raw materials and employ cost effective labor substitutes. These factors add in the reduction to the price of CD case. CD cases are now easily available and every CD purchased come along with a CD case.
